Directions

The ascent with the Astbergbahn is not only comfortable, but also worthwhile. It is the starting point for a breathtaking view of the nearby Wilder Kaiser. Once you arrive at the mountain station, you can first enjoy the beautiful view before continuing past the Pony Alm across meadows and forests to the "Lierstätt junction". From there, follow the path to the right towards Jezz Alm (formerly Brenner Alm). An insider tip for a cozy rest and refreshment stop - with a fantastic panorama. Now you can either hike along the forest road or directly over the Schwaiglerkogel (1278m) back to the Astbergbahn mountain station.
