Giant forest circular hike

GiantWorld theme trail

  • Starting point: Brixen im Thale cable car
  • Pure walking time: 1 hour
  • Level: Easy with moderate inclines

Directions

The Riesenwald circular hiking trail leads north of the Filzalmsees. I join this circular trail either directly at the mountain station of the Hochbrixen gondola lift (anticlockwise) or north of the Filzalm lake at the crossroads. Here I learn all sorts of interesting facts about the forest. For the children there is a water playground, a balancing course, a giant tree seesaw and much more. The path leads me to the idyllic Brantlalmsee, which invites me to linger with its feel-good ambience. There I can enjoy the sun and the view on comfortable loungers. Young and old rangers test their knowledge at the forest quiz.
