Directions

The starting point for this beautiful day hike is the Brandstadl Scheffau mountain station. After passing the Brandstadl mountain restaurant, follow the path towards the Tanzbodenalm mountain restaurant. In untouched nature, you walk along the marble trail.

With a bit of luck, you might spot one or two "Manggei". At the junction with the Eibergrundweg trail, you are already very close to your destination, the Jochstub'nsee lake. The Jochstub'n restaurant invites hungry hikers to stop for a bite to eat. A little breeze, feeling the sun's rays and the fantastic view - a sailing trip on the Jochstub'nsee is a very special experience. Every Tuesday & Sunday you can explore the "vastness" of the mountain lake with an experienced captain and learn more about the country and its people. Return to the starting point via the Aualm circular trail and the Murmel circular trail to the Brandstadl restaurant.

Passing the Jochstub'nsee lake, you also have the option of hiking towards the Filzalmsee lake in Hochbrixen
