Ellmau

The Hartkaiser is easily accessible with the Hartkaiserbahn from Ellmau. The starting point of "Ellmi's Zauberwelt" and various panoramic circular routes to other SkiWelt resorts is located on the Aussichtsplatteau. At the Hartkaiser mountain station, you have an unmistakable view of the Wilder Kaiser mountain massif all the way to the Loferer Steinberge and the grass mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps such as the unmistakable Kitzbüheler Horn.

Barrier-free on the Hartkaiser

The mountain plateau with the play area directly at the Hartkaiserbahn mountain station is suitable for baby carriages. Most of the paths at Ellmi's Zauberwelt are suitable for baby carriages. Please ask the cable car team which paths you should avoid with baby carriages and baby carriages!

Astberg winter hiking trail
From the Astbergbahn valley station in Going, walk along the road towards the center of Ellmau. You can also start your hike from here. In the center, head towards Ellmau parish church and turn left uphill towards Treichlhof/ Jezz Alm in the Kirchbichl district. From the Jezz Alm, a snow-covered winter path leads over to the Astbergbahn mountain station. Here you can ski back down into the valley.

Take the Hartkaiserbahn cable car in Ellmau up to the mountain station and take a short circular route through the forest. Pass the Kaiserexpress chairlift and head downhill towards the Jägerhütte. Continue on to the Rübezahl Alm. The huts are located directly on pistes 80 and 80a and are an ideal meeting point for hikers and skiers. The winter hike also takes you past the Bergdoktor practice, known from the popular TV series. It continues into the valley towards the center of Ellmau...
