Bee house

Witches' water Söll

- "Don't be afraid of bees" is the motto in the bee house at Hexenwasser -

The bee house shows me how bees make honey from light and why it is dark in the beehive. You can observe the life of the bees right inside their hive. With a bit of luck, I discover the queen bee in the middle of her swarm. An employee explains the beekeeper's work to me and shows me his instruments. I can even "imitate" the bees' wagging dance and observe the hive's busy activity in the bee garden. As they walk through this figure, the bees tell each other where there are which flowers, at what distance and in what quantity. The position of the sun tells the bees the direction of the sky and the time of their journey.

In the dark corridor, I can enter a replica beehive and experience the darkness of the hive with all my senses! Because the word comes from the bees. It is dark in their hive, pitch dark. In this darkness, the bees "see" and indicate to me that there is still a SEEING that does not depend on light. In the darkness, my other senses kick in and I hear, smell, taste and touch in order to orientate and reassure myself.
