Ski touring
Ski tours in the SkiWelt
The Bergbahnen Wilder Kaiser - Brixental would like to point out that ski touring is only permitted during operating hours on the descents according to the guidelines listed here. As always, safety has priority and we therefore ask for your understanding!
Advice for ski tourers
- Edge of slope: Only climb with touring skis on the edge of the piste, one after the other.
- Opening hours: Outside of operating hours, the slopes are also groomed with cable winch piste machines. The ropes can be extended up to a length of 1,000 metres. As soon as the piste machine pulls the rope, a deadly danger lurks, as the rope can swing out up to 40 metres to the left or right. We therefore ask you not to underestimate the danger when the lift is not in operation for your safety and for our snow groomer drivers.
- Before and after the winter season: Outside the season touring in the SkiWelt is not permitted. Due to the ongoing work in the entire ski area, the pistes are closed for ski tourers for safety reasons.
Ski touring is prohibited in the SkiWelt Brixen.
Exception: Ascent is only permitted on the Götschen downhill run (16a). As always, please ascend individually at the edge!
Ski touring is prohibited in the SkiWelt Hopfgarten-Itter. There are no exceptions!
Ski touring is prohibited in the SkiWelt Scheffau.
Exception: Ascent is only permitted on the Moderer route (N.r 63). As always, please ascend individually at the edge.
Ski touring is prohibited in the SkiWelt Söll. There are no exceptions!
SkiWelt Westendorf has a signposted off-piste ascent trail, especially for ski tourers.
This starts at the valley station of the Alpenrosenbahn and leads to the Alpenrosenhütte. The use of the signposted ascent track is only permitted during the operating hours of the cable cars. The ascent outside the signposted ascent track is prohibited and endangers both skiers and ski tourers.
