SkiWelt Hopfgarten

Hopfgarten at the foot of the Hohe Salve is known for the sunniest slopes in the entire SkiWelt. Wide, perfectly groomed slopes are just as suitable for families and beginners as they are for experts and ski enthusiasts. A modern 8-seater gondola lift takes winter sports enthusiasts directly to the summit of the Hohe Salve (1,829m) and right into the heart of the SkiWelt's unique skiing paradise.

The most beautiful panoramic mountain in the Tyrolean lowlands offers an impressive all-round view of the peaks of the Kitzbühel and Zillertal Alps, the Hohe Tauern and the Wilder Kaiser. No fewer than 70 three-thousand-metre peaks can be discovered from the unique 360-degree panoramic view. The revolving terrace of the Gipfelalm and Austria's highest pilgrimage church on the summit of the Hohe Salve are also unique.

The slopes of the Hohe Salve are a real highlight for pleasure skiers and experts: the "south slope", the black slope 2c directly from the summit towards Brixen and Hopfgarten is an incomparable pleasure, especially in the morning sun. You can also start the Salven circuit around Hopfgarten and Söll's local mountain from here. At 5.8 kilometers long, the valley run to Hopfgarten is also one of the longest runs in the entire SkiWelt.

The Hohe Salve - a mountain for insanely great skiing experiences: Those who collect altitude meters benefit from the longest valley descent in the SkiWelt: Hopfgarten - middle station - summit - middle station - Hopfgarten valley. Or from the "Marathon route" to Itter and back: Marathon route - Hopfgarten valley - Hohe Salve summit - Itter valley - Kraftalm - Rigi - Hopfgarten. Beginners can take their first turns in Hopfgarten without any problems: with ski schools and ski hire right at the valley station of the gondola lift and the practice area for your first turns right next to it, getting started is child's play. The blue pistes, wide and perfectly groomed, are ideal for beginners and ski courses. The long but easy valley run in Hopfgarten is also a pleasure for less experienced skiers.

Families will enjoy the many easy, blue pistes - ideal for beginners and families with children. Particularly popular: the slopes of the Foisching lift, now even more easily accessible thanks to the new Schernthann-Wildbichl ski trail. A great innovation is the new Schernthann 6-seater chairlift with heated seats, weather protection hoods and an automatic lift table for easy and safe access, even for the youngest skiers.

The youngest winter sports enthusiasts are in good hands at the practice area at the valley station: In the Kids Club Salvenaland Hopfgarten, children from 1 to 3 years are lovingly looked after and in two ski schools, ski kids of all ages learn from professionally trained ski instructors.

The family ski depot offers spacious and heated storage facilities for all ski equipment directly at the valley station. The new parking garage, also located at the valley station, has 500 free parking spaces - incidentally with 5 e-charging stations, free of charge for all lift users.

You can reach Hopfgarten im Brixental via the A12 highway. Coming from Kufstein or Innsbruck: Exit Wörgl Ost, via the B178 (Loferer Straße) and B170 (Brixentaler Straße) to Hopfgarten. Toll-free access is also possible via the B171 main road from Kufstein via Kirchbichl. The connection to public transport is perfect: the Hopfgarten Berglift train station is located directly at the valley station of the Hopfgarten cable cars.
