Improvement and optimisation of snowmaking systems

When it comes to snow reliability, the entire SkiWelt is continuing to upgrade. All mountain lifts are once again investing in improving and optimising their snowmaking systems. 80 % of all pistes in the entire SkiWelt will have snowmaking capability from the 2017-18 winter season. In total, over 1,700 snow guns already ensure the best piste conditions in the SkiWelt! There are 15 reservoirs throughout the SkiWelt with a total capacity of 1,228,000 m³.
- SkiWelt Brixen: 1 million euros for the improvement of the snowmaking facilities
- SkiWelt Hopfgarten: 700,000 euros were invested in snowmaking and piste construction. In addition, 2 new piste machines were purchased.
- SkiWelt Scheffau: In addition to improvements to the snow-making facilities, 2 new winch machines were also purchased in Scheffau.
- SkiWelt Söll: In Söll, 15 new snow cannons were purchased and invested in improving the snow-making facilities. In addition, 2 new snow groomers were purchased.
- SkiWelt Westendorf: The main investments here were in the snow depth measurement system and the purchase of a new piste machine and snow gun.
