Hartkaiserweg Ellmau

Your destination is Ellmi's magic world. You start this sporty round at the Ellmauer hiking info. Walk/run in the direction of the Hartkaiserbahn valley station, leave it on your left and take the first ascent to Faistenbichl (Bergdoktorhaus). Walk/run past the mountain inn along the forest path in the direction of Rübezahl Alm and Jägerhütte. One last climb and you are done. After a visit to the panorama terrace of the Bergkaiser restaurant, you can visit the Zauberwald and Ellmi. Downhill you can take the Hartkaiserbahn.

Arrival
Coming on the B178 from Wörgl or Kufstein, take the first exit to Ellmau and then immediately the first exit at the roundabout. Drive along the bypass road and at the end (between MPreis and Sporthotel) turn off towards Ellmau Zentrum. Continue straight ahead until you see the tourist information office on the right (short-stay parking zone), on the left opposite you will already see the hiking start area.
On the B178 from St. Johann, take the first exit to Ellmau and drive straight on through the village until you see the Tourismus Info on the right-hand side (short-stay parking zone). You will see the starting point for the hike on the left-hand side.
